Shrnutí:The general objective of this research study was to propose a psychopedagogical evaluation guide for the early detection of learning problems among the Teniente Hugo Ortiz Basic Education School students. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach, descriptive, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and framed in the scientific method. Two questionnaires were applied to a sample of 10 school teachers, one of them was the Learning Problems Evaluation Questionnaire (CEPA in Spanish). The results showed that the school teachers were not qualified to detect learning difficulties in their students. Additionally, the results of the CEPA questionnaire showed that according to the surveyed teachers, students had several learning difficulties in different areas as follows: great difficulty in retaining oral information 40% of the students, great difficulty in oral language expression 47% of the students, great difficulty in attention-concentration-memory 73% of the students, great difficulty in reading and writing 47%, great difficulty in mathematics 80% of the students, in qualitative assessment 80% had no problem. Finally, the results demonstrated there is an important percentage of difficulties in the area of mathematics, attention, concentration and memory. The study also revealed students struggle to retain oral information and cannot read and write without errors. Consequently, we strongly recommend the design of a guide to detect learning problems in students at the Teniente Hugo Ortiz Basic Education School.
