סיכום:The present thesis aims of study to determine the relation that exists between the form of the face and the form of the top central incisor in and the students of the National University of Loja in the ages between 18 and 30 years of age. This study was of descriptive type and qualitative section, for which there were selected 400 students, 213 men and 187 women who were assembling the necessary characteristics to be a part of this study, there was realized an dental diagnostics and photographic captures both of its face and of its top central incisors. The Williams method was used for the classification of the faces and of the top central incisor. According to this criterion the individuals of square face have teeth also square; those of triangular face, triangular teeth and those of ovoid face, ovoid teeth. The obtained results were the following ones: the most frequent form of face was the square with 38 % in the entire population, presenting 30.75 % to him in 53.25 % that corresponds to men and 7.25 % in 46.75 % that corresponds to women, The form of the most common top central incisor was the oval one with 45 % in the entire population there being observed 29 % in the feminine population and 16 % that corresponds to the masculine sex. In the relation between form of the face and form of the top central incisor as we have the Williams method that the type of face squared in form of oval teeth is the most common in the whole of the sample with 26.75 %, presenting to him 20.25 % in the feminine population and 6.5 % in 53 % that corresponds to the masculine population. Coming to the conclusion that the form of face is not equal to the form of the teeth in this study population therefore the Williams theory is not fulfilled. KEY WORDS: Form of the face, form of the top central incisor.
