Description
Summary:The mineral resources of our country, whose use is totally linked to the development of our economy in the near future, makes the present work, is oriented to the investigation of one of the many minerals that lie on our soil, such is the case of Clays, non-metallic mineral raw material of great importance for the building materials industry, ceramic manufacturing, ornamental products, small, medium and large scale. By means of the investigation of this resource, a base line is created for the use of other types of nonmetallic minerals in the zone, that equally present a positive economic potential. However, the Eastern South region of Ecuador and the geographic area that punctually includes the province of Zamora Chinchipe, in which some of these resources are currently being exploited, does not have studies that have been carried out for the evaluation of those from A technical point of view and to expand the prospects for its exploitation. The research conducted, at the national level, is limited to the collection of evidence, which is not sufficient when it requires extensive, analytical information and a clear compilation of these resources in detail. Likewise, the absence of measurable and comparable parameters of these mineral deposits is evident since there is no information from this region. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge of the mineral resources with which the clay is available in this area, the reason for the present project, does not take it into account for its exploitation, channeling the investments towards minerals of which One has at least empirical knowledge of the profitability they offer, leaving aside others who may also be profitable as in the present case the clay. For the exploitation of this resource, the establishment of a mining technology according to the conditions of the environment in which it operates, allows to avoid at a high level the degradation of nature in the long term and on the other hand to obtain economic benefits from the perspective of productivity and Competitiveness, concepts increasingly used in the world of the globalized economy of today, in which we are all immersed
