Шошго нэмэх | Тойм: | The present research work was developed in the Malacatos parish located at a distance of 33 km from the Loja canton, with the aim of phenotypically characterizing and knowing the integral management of the creole donkey, a study was carried out on 96 animals, grouped into 8 categories by ages and sexes from 0-6 months to> 60 months, the weight of each of them was also determined with the following formula Weight = PT3 (m) * 80 established by (Crevat, 2013).For the phenotypic characterization data were taken from 18 zoometric measurements and 6 phaneroptic measurements, to determine their management system, surveys were carried out to the owners. The results show that the creole donkeys of the Malacatos parish have a dorsal line (93.5%) of dark brown color, also have in 99% two dark stripes known as the cross of Christ, the color of the coat is the dark Moor It represents 78.2% of the population, it is a light animal with a live weight of 178kg and slightly small, with a height at the hip above the height at the withers (110 cm vs 113 cm), giving it greater strength (29cm), rusticity and mobility in the middle, has a good depth and thoracic capacity (48cm and 130cm), a thin and light rod (16cm and 15cm), dolichocephalic where the length (51cm) predominates that the width of the head (22cm) and a wider croup (35cm) than long (34cm),the creole donkeys of the parish Malacatos have a great resistance to diseases although these do not have any sanitary management, it was established that the age of the female at her first heat is between 1 and 2 years of age, while the male begins to ride after 3 years, the characteristic symptoms are uneasiness, bray, do not eat and migrate, have a return to heat at 15 days after giving birth, due to their width of rump do not present any problems in childbirth.
