| Riassunto: | This research work entitled "The exotic and the mythological in the work of Héctor Manuel Carrión", is aimed at presenting the exotic (the unusual, strange, different) and the mythological (the elegant, the classic, the beauty) in the poetic and narrative work of Héctor Manuel Carrión. For this work we used the descriptive method, deductive method to describe the different used categories. As a specific method, the stylistic method was used to describe the style used by Héctor Manuel Carrión, focusing mainly on the exotic and mythological in his work as stylistic resources. In the obtained results it can be determined that the Lojano writer uses the exotic in his poetry and narrative, showing places that are mainly far from his reality and on the other hand, the mythological is projected as a traditional and classic form. Héctor Manuel Carrión uses landscapes, cities, nature and other elements as a way to explore and represent places that are far away and strange as well, which is what makes the exotic in his literary work. While the mythological is focused on embellishing and giving elegance to his writing with elements such as gods, cities and places that belonged mainly to ancient Greece. These two elements, the exotic and the mythological, conform one of the characteristics of Latin American modernism, since in the end it can be considered that Héctor Manuel Carrión has characteristic traits of Latin American modernism. who could be considered ahead of his time. |
