要約:The present research called the concrete teaching material and its influence on the learning of the addition in the second grade students C of the Unidad Educativa Manuel Ignacio Monteros Valdivieso of the City of Loja, has as a central problem: How does the concrete teaching material influence in the learning of the addition in the second grade students C of the Unidad Educativa Manuel Ignacio Monteros Valdivieso of the city of Loja, academic period 2018-2019 ?, It had as a general objective: To determine the influence of the concrete didactic material in the learning of the addition and in order to comply with it, three specific objectives were raised, the first is to characterize the specific teaching materials, the second to describe the learning of the addition and the third to propose alternatives for improvement; The type of study was descriptive. The analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, hermeneutical and descriptive statistical methods that contributed to the information analysis process were used, in addition, direct observation, survey, and interview were used as techniques, the questionnaire and the observation guide as instrument, which were applied to teachers and second grade students, to obtain information on the specific teaching materials and the progress made by students in the learning of mathematics. With the results it was determined that a large number of students do not fully master the learning of addition due to the limited use of concrete material; consequently, this directly affects the teaching-learning process in the subject of mathematics, concluding that the use of specific teaching material in the classroom helps to strengthen the learning of a certain subject, especially the addition.
