總結:Restoration in Andean forests is usually a slow process that therefore requires monitoring and long-term control, using effective indicators that provide valid information on the progress of the recovery. The objective of this research is to analyze small terrestrial mammals to be used in the participatory monitoring of the restoration and success of conservation strategies in the San Lucas parish of the Loja canton. To carry out the present research fieldwork, three study areas were selected: a conserved area, a degraded one and an area where a passive restoration process was recently initiated. Sampling was done from March to May with 27 Sherman traps and 10 pitfall traps using 2 baits, oatmeal mixed with vanilla essence and a mix of tuna with oats. A total amount of 52 individuals of seven species of micromammals were registered: Akodon mollis Thomas, 1894; Caenolestes caniventer Anthony, 1921; Cryptotis montivagus (Anthony, 1921); Microryzomys altissimus (Osgood, 1933); Microryzomys minutus (Tomes, 1860); Nephelomys albigularis (Tomes, 1860); and Thomasomys caudivarius Anthony, 1923. According to the results, Akodon mollis is proposed as the indicator species for the degraded area and Nephelomys albigularis for the conserved area. Although no indicator is proposed for the area under restoration it is suggested to take into account the species Cryptotis montivagus in subsequent monitoring, which has very particular characteristics that are easy to identify. This information, which was shared with the local community, allows us to have a baseline of micromammals assemblage for the site under restoration, as well as the appropriate indicators to carry out long-term monitoring in an integral and participatory way.
