| description | The structural geological characterization and alterations of the underground mining working of the Society "El Mirador" code 1909038, Chinapintza Mining District, located in the Cordillera del Condor, Paquisha canton, province of Zamora Chinchipe, in the category of small-scale mining was carried out in this investigation, to determine the geochemical and mineralogical association of the veins of economic interest, and their correlation with the structures through the representation of a mineralisation distribution model, based on the predominant structural control in the study area. The deposit is presented as a vetiform system, characterised as a low sulphidation epithermal type deposit. The results reveal that it is an igneous intrusive environment formed by granodiorite described in the Zamora Intrusive Complex as the basement of this Jurassic age zone, a post-complex volcanic event was described consisting of rhyolites and hydrothermal breccias identified in the Congüime Unit. The minerals of the veins of economic interest analysed in the polished sections show pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, arsenopyrite, gold interpenetrated in chalcopyrite. The geochemical association evidences auriferous concentrations from 0.29 gr/t to 10.98 gr/t, these structures have a NW - SE directional trend, with Au - Ag - Cu - Pb - Zn - As ore. All the information was represented in a geological map at 1:1000 scale, the underground geological mapping was done at 1:500 scale of two galleries called Combo and Julia respectively, which resulted in 5 potential gold enrichment zones for opening new mining fronts. Keywords: structural geological, ore, gangue, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, Chinapintza vein system.En la presente investigación se realizó la caracterización geológica estructural y de alteraciones de las labores mineras subterráneas de la Sociedad “El Mirador” código 1909038, Distrito Minero Chinapintza, ubicado en la Cordillera del Cóndor, cantón Paquisha, provincia de Zamora Chinchipe, en la categoría de minería artesanal, con la finalidad de determinar la asociación geoquímica y mineralógica de las vetas de interés económico, y su correlación con las estructuras a través de la representación de un modelo de distribución de la mineralización, sobre la base del control estructural predominante en el área de estudio. El yacimiento se presenta como un sistema vetiforme, caracterizado como un depósito tipo epitermal de baja sulfuración. Los resultados revelan que se trata de un ambiente ígneo intrusivo conformado por granodiorita descrita en el Complejo Intrusivo de Zamora como el basamento de esta zona de edad Jurásica, se describió un evento volcánico post complejo constituido por riolitas y brechas hidrotermales identificadas en la Unidad Congüime. Los minerales de las vetas de interés económico analizados en las secciones pulidas muestran pirita, calcopirita, esfalerita, galena, arsenopirita, oro compenetrado en la calcopirita. La asociación geoquímica evidencia concentraciones auríferas de 0.29 gr/t a 10.98 gr/t, estas estructuras tienen una tendencia de dirección o rumbo de NW – SE, con una mena de Au – Ag – Cu – Pb – Zn – As. Toda la información se representó en un mapa geológico a escala 1:1000, el mapeo geológico subterráneo se realizó a escala 1:500 de dos galerías denominada Combo y Julia respectivamente, que dio como resultado 5 zonas potenciales de enriquecimiento aurífero para apertura de nuevos frentes de explotación.
