Opis
Streszczenie:Alcohol consumption has been considered a common behavior in society and in the activities that people carry out. In the face of the acquisition of negative behaviors such as alcohol consumption, the family acts as a protective or risk factor, which is why family functionality is important. For this reason, it was proposed to determine the relationship between the levels of family functionality and alcohol consumption in adolescents of the Millennium Educational Unit “10 de Noviembre” in the province of Zamora Chinchipe. The research was descriptive-correlational, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental crosssectional design, which facilitated the description of the variables in a single moment. The sampling was non-probabilistic and intentional, with a sample of 94 high school students, including men and women. The Family Functioning Perception Test (FF-SIL) was used to evaluate the level of family functionality: family functionality, moderate family functionality, family dysfunctionality and severe family dysfunctionality. The Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) to assess levels of alcohol use: low risk, risky use, harmful use, and probable dependence. Data tabulation and analysis was performed using SPSS software. It was found that moderate family functionality and low-risk alcohol consumption stood out; in students where risk consumption predominated, family dysfunctionality prevailed; in harmful consumption, family dysfunctionality predominated; and those with low-risk consumption presented moderate family functionality. A mental health prevention and promotion plan has been structured to reduce or avoid alcohol consumption in adolescents, considering the family as a protective factor. It has three workshops, directed to students, family and family with the student
