| Summary: | After a preliminary study and design of parabolic dish solar collector was built and the support system that has two mechanical attachment points of freedom for movement angles in azimuth and elevation, which met the requirements for the correct operation. The system consists of a parabola reflection of 1.85 m diameter, which surface is covered by the same aluminum film that guarantees the highest possible reflection ratios to generate adequate solar concentration. This collector works only with direct sunlight and to ensure greater uptake of solar radiation implemented a tracking system, which consists of two solar motors or actuators with their respective sensors covering the two movements of the angles mentioned above. Likewise, the major part of this project was to study the potential for power generation in the future by coupling a Stirling engine at the focal point of the collector, which was coupled to a receiver, the same engine that simulates the . This study occurred through a previous monitoring operation of the machine in the sector Catamayo due to direct solar radiation characteristics it possesses. Thus, through the foreground and the construction of a data table, all analyzes were expressed in a final product that was in the amount of useful energy produced by the collector and is simultaneously be used by a Stirling engine by converting thermal energy into electricity. |
