Prevalencia de alcoholismo en adolescentes de la comunidad de Gulanza del cantón Biblián, provincia del Cañar. Año 2015

The purpose of investigation was determine the prevalence of alcoholism among teenagers of the community Gulanza. Was applied the survey technique to 45 teenagers. The design was transversal, descriptive, bibliographic and field. The results were obtained, say that adolescents between 15 to 19 are the largest population with 60,60%, followed by 12 to 15 years it is 36,37%. The 81,81% are male. According to the occupation 54,55%, are students,followed by 39,39%, who work as a farmer or construction guys. The prevalence of alcoholism is 73,33%, in the community of Gulanza. In reference to the start of alcohol consumption is reported that 63,64%, have done between 12 and 15 years old, the frequency of consumption is weekly 39,39%. 33,33%, do it every two weeks. 36,36%, live with parents, and 42,42% report alcohol consumption one of the parents. The most common reason for consumption is the insistence of friends this is demonstrate with the 39,40%. 90,91%, of teenagers say there is no restriction to sale liquor. As physical consequences of consumption are reported 42.43% have headache, as consequences phycology they say that lose control; as social consequences they say that they have social problems such as the formation of gangs. As concluded we can say there is high prevalence of alcoholism in the community of Gulanza with 73,33%. The main cause is the origin of families consuming alcohol as usual
