Thanks to Communication, this task has become more accessible, since its main objective is to educate those people who need it most, either to acquire new knowledge or reinforce existing ones. However, this modern form of education offers a unique opportunity to promote culture and knowledge about the Paltas canton, especially the traditions of indigenous peoples. Therefore, and stated above, the objective of the project is to analyze the historical and heritage potential of the city of Catacocha, through the construction of a digital channel, as a communication strategy to promote, strengthen and project the legendary value of this heritage city. Faced with this proposal, a mixed methodology was applied that included conducting interviews with communication experts and a survey of local residents to address heritage and cultural knowledge, with the purpose of obtaining their perspective and knowledge of each topic, given the The results obtained showed that not all residents are aware and knowledgeable of the cultural value as the main content for the tourism promotion of Catacocha. Although some showed interest, others were unaware. One of the main aspects is the lack of a cultural digital channel aimed especially at users in general, for which it is necessary to design and implement a YouTube channel focused on enhancing the cultural knowledge of the Paltas canton.
