El reciclaje en el aprendizaje de la Matemática en el quinto grado “A” de EGB de la Escuela Luis Alfredo Samaniego Arteaga

This research work focuses on the use of recycling in the learning of Mathematics with students of fifth grade “A”; of Basic General Education (EGB) at Luis Alfredo Samaniego Arteaga School. The general objective was to analyze the importance of recyclable material for the learning of Mathematics with students of fifth grade “A”; of EGB at Luis Alfredo Samaniego Arteaga School in the city of Catamayo, during the academic period 2022-2023. The scientific, statistical, descriptive, analytical, synthetic, and inductive methods were employed, along with techniques such as teacher interviews, surveys, and diagnostic tests for students. The target population was 29 human beings, including 28 students and 1 teacher. The study aimed to elucidate the investigated problem, and it was determined that the use of recycled material contributed to improving the learning of Mathematics in a dynamic, manipulative, and interactive way with the students. This approach fostered interest in learning the subject of Mathematics. In conclusion, the didactic material used in the classroom raises awareness among teachers as an alternative for working in a different environment, where students can think, communicate, and acquire knowledge in Mathematics through a set of activities involving concrete materials. These activities not only help develop their senses but also their cognitive skills. Keywords: Recyclable Material – Learning – Awareness – Mathematics.
