| Sammanfattning: | The purpose of this research was; determine the occupational hazards to which they are exposed Masons Benjamin Carrion neighborhood, Zamora Canton. 2015. The design was cross-sectional, descriptive, field, prospective, bibliographic. survey techniques and direct observation with instruments questionnaire and observation guide applied to 20 construction workers were used. The results were: masons workers are between the ages of 31 to 40 years with 35%, marital status cohabiting with 42.11%, the level of full primary education with 85%, mixed race ethnicity with the 70.00% economic level was low with 80%, with the function of assistant masonry with 75.00%; in terms of the physical risk the noise makes you speak loudly with 100.00%, the 70.00% perform outdoor work under extreme conditions of temperature and humidity or intense solar radiation, 20.00% are exposed by working on the outside in the winter or rain. In mechanical risks the 75.00% relate to disorder, ergonomic hazards in the physical overexertion stands with 90.00%. In chemical risks 100% of workers are exposed to cement and 80.00% diluents. The type of protection higher deficit of use is the strip with 85.00% and 100.00% of workers reported lack of signage. Diseases associated with occupational hazards is Contact Dermatitis with 70.00%. It is concluded that the masons del Barrio Benjamin Carrion are exposed occupational risks in all types and in high percentages. an action plan based nursing identified needs developed.
