Sammanfattning:The present research work aims to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a consulting firm specializing in Business Intelligence (BI) in Guayaquil, specifically targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. The methodology employed combines quantitative and qualitative approaches, including surveys, interviews, and document analysis. The market study reveals a high unsatisfied potential demand for BI consulting services in this segment. SMEs recognize the potential benefits of BI, such as improved decision-making and operational efficiency, but face challenges in its implementation. The research also highlights the importance of training and ongoing support in the use of BI tools. The financial analysis projects an initial investment of $46,865, with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 23.83%, exceeding the minimum acceptable rate (MARR) of 9.97%. The positive net present value (NPV) of $25,247.83 and the benefit-cost ratio of 1.03 indicate the financial viability of the project. The payback period for the investment is estimated at 3 years, 11 months, and 8 days. In conclusion, the study supports the feasibility of creating a BI consulting firm in Guayaquil, targeting SMEs and entrepreneurs. The combination of high unmet demand, solid financial analysis, and a well-defined implementation strategy suggests a high potential for success for this project.
