description This project a multi-operatior cellular base radio was designed with the purpose of providing an alternative solution to the deficient Advanced Mobile Service (AMS) network coverage in rural communities of Ecuador and particularly in the Nambacola parish; these sectors are generally excluded from the coverage projects of the mobile operators, thus this solution is economically viable for the cellular operators, reusing fourth generation UMTS technology which is expected to be dismantled in the coming years in major cities due to the implementation of 5G. The backbone connection is defined by means of a single optical fiber and through which logical tunnels will be implemented to allow interconnection to each of the 3 operators; finally, the rules of operation and maintenance of the radio base are raised. Keywords: Rurals, UMTS, backbone, 5G, logical tunnels.En el presente proyecto se diseñó una radio base multi operadora celular con la finalidad de brindar una alternativa de solución a la cobertura de red de Servicio Móvil Avanzado (SMA) deficiente en las comunidades rurales del Ecuador y particularmente en la parroquia Nambacola; estos sectores por lo general son excluidos de los proyectos de cobertura de las operadoras de telefonía móvil por lo que se plantea esta solución económicamente viable para las operadoras celulares, reutilizando tecnología de cuarta generación UMTS la cual se prevé sea desmontada en los próximos años en las ciudades principales por la implementación de 5G. Se define la conexión de backbone mediante una única fibra óptica y por la cual se implementará túneles lógicos que nos permitan la interconexión a cada una de las 3 operadoras; finalmente se plantea las reglas de operación y mantenimiento de la radio base.
