Summary:Diffusion was investigated by local print media from basic services of the southern suburbs of the countryside Loja City. The research was conducted in the period from March to July 2014, in the southern district of the city of Loja. The general objective was pursued: Develop strategies to disseminate and make known to the authorities of the basic needs services the southern suburbs of the Loja countryside by local print media. The main research methods were used, consisting: The scientific method was used to extract the information, realize the problem as same as from the narrow framework hypothesis and its operationalization. It is also used in the formulation of conclusions and recommendations from the discussions of results. The inductive method, which helped to listening to the object and using research tools, know their empirical characteristics and then by finding the relations given between them, integrate them into the whole, and describe their characteristics and search for causal explanations, as information was grouped in tables and charts, then be described, analyzed and interpreted. Once sorted, processed and analyzed information, it was concluded that the dissemination of basic needs services in neighborhoods in the southern district of the City of Loja were spread in local print media. After the findings, some recommendations are made to the neighborhood leaders engaged in spreading somehow their basic needs for the authorities in charge can face the problem. Finally, a proposal of developing a monthly community newspaper edition that henceforth serve to fill the void of the lack of dissemination of basic services in the investigated districts was formulated.
