| description | The application of constructivist methodological strategies allowed students build their own knowledge, through the application of an intervention proposal, it helped to improve their academic performance, and therefore to strengthen the teaching and learning process, reason for which the present investigation was carried out, in order to strengthen the teaching and learning process of the students of eight year of basic education of the educative unit “Adolfo Valarezo” in Natural Science subject. Seeking to reach the proposal, qualitative research was used, that allowed to determine relevant characteristics of the educative environment, regarding the application of constructivist methodological strategies to improve the academic performance of students. The research approach corresponds to a participative action research, resulting in the significative improvement of the educative process. Thanks to the work made both students and teachers, that made it possible to strengthen the mentioned process and improve their academic performance, thanks to the management of constructivist methodologic strategies, with the respective techniques and resources. Likewise, the research design for its temporality is of transversal way. On the other hand, to have evidence of its validation, attitude and satisfaction measure scales were used. The achieved results reveal a considerable improvement regarding the academic performance and thus the strengthen of the classroom process, as a result of the application of the intervention proposal. Keywords: teaching-learning, academic performance, Constructivist pedagogical model, organization of information.La aplicación de estrategias metodológicas constructivistas permitió que los estudiantes construyan su propio conocimiento, a su vez mediante la aplicación de la propuesta de intervención les ayudó a mejorar su rendimiento académico y por ende fortalecer el proceso enseñanza- aprendizaje; motivo por el cual se realizó la presente investigación, con el fin de fortalecer el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes de Octavo Año de Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa “Adolfo Valarezo” en la asignatura de Ciencias Naturales, el presente trabajo de integración curricular tiene como finalidad; fomentar la mejora del rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, mediante la aplicación de estrategias metodológicas constructivistas, que fortalezcan el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de Ciencias Naturales de octavo año de Educación General Básica, en la Unidad Educativa Adolfo Valarezo, año lectivo 2022-2023. Buscando alcanzar lo propuesto, se utilizó el tipo de investigación cualitativa, que permitió determinar características relevantes del entorno educativo, referente a la aplicación de estrategias metodológicas constructivistas para mejorar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. El enfoque de la investigación corresponde a investigación acción participativa, dando como resultado la mejora significativa en el proceso educativo; gracias al trabajo realizado en conjunto entre estudiantes y docente, que posibilitó fortalecer dicho proceso y mejorar en su rendimiento académico, gracias al manejo de estrategias metodológicas constructivistas, con las respectivas técnicas y recursos. A su vez, el diseño de la investigación por su temporalidad es transversal. Para poder evidenciar su validación, se utilizó escalas de medición denominadas de actitud o de satisfacción. Los resultados alcanzados revelan una mejora considerable en lo que concierne al rendimiento académico y por ende al fortalecimiento del proceso áulico, como resultado de la aplicación de la propuesta de intervención.
