| Shrnutí: | Secondary hyperparathyroidism a chronic renal disease refers to a clinical condition in which the parathyroid glands respond adequately to low extracellular calcium concentration product of renal failure.This present descriptive study, retrospective of cross-section was made with the objective to determine the prevalence of hyperparathyroidism and its complications. It had a universe of 70 patients which according to inclusion criteria were reduced to 43 participants; we applied a survey and recollected data from their medical history and laboratory tests having the following outcomes. The hyperparathyroidism to the levels of PTH (Parathyroid Hormone) ≥150 pg / ml was reported in 19 patients of which 11 cases presented had levels PTH ≥300. Regarding the compatible secondary of hyperparathyroidism (HPT) are presented in 22 patients being pruritus the most frequent and the less specific hyperparathyroidism others of importance were neuromuscular that affect 15 patients and gastrointestinal that report 13 cases.
