| Riassunto: | Vaginal infections are one of the most common afflictions that may be bacterial, mycotic, parasitic and viral, which affect regardless of age, sex or social status. If these diseases are not adequately treated can trigger recurrent infections, PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) even infertility, which is a health problem that is increasing in the recent times. Often these conditions are closely related to poverty, inadequate hygiene, promiscuity, educational level, environmental pollution, etc.. Similar factors are evidenced in the study population. Because in the Buenavista Parish no previous studies have been performed is that set out to identify Vaginal Infections related to predisposing factors in women of reproductive age in the Buenavista Parish belongs to Chaguarpamba Canton , for which was raised as objectives the perform analysis of vaginal fluid, vaginal infections and to determine their relationship with the main triggers. The present investigation is a descriptive cross-sectional, the same that was applied to 118 women of childbearing age who met the inclusion criteria by analysis of fresh, amines KOH, gram stain and implementation of a survey. Concluding that there is a high incidence of vaginal infections (89%) being most prevalent infections Bacterial (46%), followed by Mycotic (31%) and Parasitic(23%), the same ones that are associated with several predisposing factors including the use of tight underwear, douching, poor water quality, and lack of hygiene.
