Özet:The present research work entitled Psychoeducational strategies to reduce school anxiety in students of Second Year of Secondary School parallel A, Educational Unit "Manuel Ignacio Montero, 2019- 2020, had as main objective to propose the psychoeducational strategies as a tool to diminish the school anxiety of the students of the mentioned educational institution. To carry out this study, the methodological process that was considered included the design of nonexperimental character, with a mixed approach, quanti-qualitative and of exploratorydescriptive type. The techniques that allowed the collection of data were the survey through a questionnaire and the test through an inventory, instruments that were applied to 17 students who made up the total population of this study. The main result that was found is that 100% of students express concern about situations of school anxiety that occur in their school, therefore, it is concluded that oral presentations and tests cause different symptoms of cognitive, physiological and motor anxiety. On the other hand, all the activities suggested by the psychoeducational strategies will help reduce the levels of scholar anxiety; consequently, it is recommended to implement the workshops planned in the intervention proposal, and in this way help students improve their academic performance.
