description This research was carried out in the Santa Cruz area of the Gonzanamá canton and Bella María of the Calvas canton of the Province of Loja, with the purpose of determining the quality and the productive levels of milk according to the place, number of births, lactation stage and biotype; milk samples were taken from the “Chusca Lojana” goat, to 50 goats that were in different stages of lactation and number of births; Four visits were made with the purpose to coincide with the beginning, intermediate and end of breastfeeding with an interval of 15 days between visits. To determine the productive levels, the observational units were milked thoroughly in the early hours of the morning, with the help of a balance, the weight was taken, and a 50 ml sample of milk was collected to take to the laboratory and determine the quality. It was determined that the lactation stage of the “Chusca” goat lasts 180 days, reaching 51,360 ml, with a daily average of 285 ml ; presenting a peak of production around the first 30 days of the lactation stage with (586 ml), as well as the short and folded ear biotype (OCD) has the highest production (414 ml). The average of the following components was determined by chemical physical analysis: Fat (5,70%); Non-fatty solids (8,19%); Total solids (13,95%); Density (1,027g / ml); Lactose (4,50%); Mineral salts (0,67%); Protein (3,0%); Conductivity (5,09 mS / cm) and pH (6,84). It was determined that the milk of the Santa Cruz sector presented a better production and quality of milk compared to the Bella María sector. The Lion ear biotype (ODL), presented a better-quality milk compared to the other two biotypes analyzed. Determining that the quality of the milk in the present study is affected by the place in the majority of the components analyzed. Keywords: “Chusca lojana” goat, lactation duration, milk quality, parameters, biotype.La presente investigación se realizó en la zona de Santa Cruz del cantón Gonzanamá y Bella María del cantón Calvas; de la Provincia de Loja, con la finalidad de determinar la calidad y los niveles productivos de la leche, según el lugar, número de partos, etapa de lactancia y biotipo; se tomaron muestras de leche de la cabra “Chusca Lojana” a 50 cabras que se encontraban en diferentes etapas de lactancia y número de partos; se realizaron cuatro visitas con la finalidad de coincidir con el inicio, intermedio y finalización de la lactancia con un intervalo de 15 días entre visitas. Para determinar los niveles productivos se ordeñó a fondo las unidades observacionales a tempranas horas de la mañana, con ayuda de una balanza se tomó el peso, así mismo se recolectó una muestra de 50 ml de leche para llevar a laboratorio y determinar la calidad. Se determinó que la etapa de lactancia de la cabra “Chusca” dura 180 días, alcanzando 51,360 ml, con un promedio de 285 ml/día; el pico de lactancia fue durante los 30 primeros días de la etapa de lactación con (586 ml), así mismo que el Biotipo oreja corta y doblada (OCD) tiene la mayor producción (414 ml). Mediante análisis físico-químico se determinó el promedio de los siguientes componentes: Grasa (5,70%); Solidos no grasos (8,19%); Solidos totales (13,95%); Densidad (1,027g/ml); Lactosa (4,50%); Sales minerales (0,67%); Proteína (3,0%); Conductividad (5,09 mS/cm) y pH (6,84). Se determinó que la leche del sector de Santa Cruz presentó una mejor producción y calidad de leche frente al sector de Bella María. El Biotipo oreja de león (ODL), presentó una leche de mejor calidad frente a los otros dos biotipos analizados. Determinando que la calidad de la leche en el presente estudio si se ve afectada por el lugar en la mayoría de los componentes analizados.
