Shrnutí:This present study is based in the interpersonal relationships and emotional intelligence against infant depression in children, studying in the school " Marieta de Veintemilla" of the city of Loja, in order to determine how it influences emotional intelligence interpersonal relationships in infant depression; as they investigate relationships in children; discern the kind of emotional intelligence; discriminate the presence of infant depression; develop a plan of psycho education in emotional intelligence versus interpersonal relationships to prevent childhood depression. The methodology was applied social scientist with qualitative descriptive cross-sectional quantitative approach supported in the use and application of techniques and instruments, he worked for 131 students, the results show; that 48% have difficulties in interacting with the game in interpersonal relationships, emotional intelligence in 50% pays little attention, proper regulation 53%, 49% deficit in understanding and 16% have mild depressive symptoms with 10 % severe. In general it is concluded that inadequate interpersonal relationships with peers and poor emotional intelligence functions translate as risk factors for the emergence of depressive symptoms.
