| Resumo: | The cultivation of blackberry (Rubus glaucus Benth) is of great importance in the food industry, which in recent years has shown an increase in its production, however, it is not enough to meet the national demand. This is due to the lack of knowledge related to nutrition and crop management, especially of the plant, with respect to pruning systems that could optimize yield. Based on the above, the objective of this research was to determine the effect of the interaction of two pruning systems and two levels of N P K nutrition in the parish of Imbana, in the province of Zamora Chinchipe, a blackberry producing sector in which no research has been carried out. For this purpose, a completely randomized design was established with the application of nine treatments with four replications. For the treatments, the control was taken into account for the interaction; thus, each independent factor consisted of three levels. For fertilization: No fertilization (SP), 100% fertilization (100%) and 200% fertilization (200%); for basal pruning: no pruning (SP), 6-stem basal pruning (6T) and 8-stem basal pruning (8T). The treatments applied were: T1: SP:SF; T2: SP:100%; T3: SP:200%; T4: 6T:SP; T5: 6T:100%; T6: 6T:200%; T7: 8T:SF; T8: 8T:100%; T9: 8T:200%. Morphological, productive and quality variables were evaluated. In the results for this study, the treatment with basal pruning of 6 stems and 100% fertilization obtained the greatest growth in basal diameter at 56 DDA compared to the rest of the treatments; with respect to shoot length, the treatment without pruning and fertilization at 200% obtained the smallest measurement as opposed to the treatment with basal pruning of 8 stems and fertilization at 200%, which obtained 10.83 cm and 15.70 cm respectively. These variables were the ones with significant differences. As for the productive and bromatological variables, there were no significant differences. In conclusion, the best treatments for this study were 6, 3 and 9. Key words: Rubus glaucus, nutrition, pruning, production. |
