| Shrnutí: | Prenatal check-ups and prenatal complications are correlated because the main diseases produced in the gestation period, if treated in time, may remit or not cause maternal and fetal damage. In the following study we obtained that, of the 318 patients, 46.23% (n=147) had 5 prenatal controls throughout their pregnancy, 33.02% (n=105) received 4 controls, then 12.89% (n=41) had 3 prenatal controls, 5.03% (n=16) had 2 controls, and finally 2.83% (n=9) received one prenatal control during their pregnancy. No patient presented complications related to preeclampsia and eclampsia, 0.63% (n=2) presented gestational diabetes, 0.31% (n=1) presented high blood pressure during pregnancy, 14.15% (n=45) developed infections during pregnancy, 37.42% (n=119) presented other complications and finally 47.48% (n=151) did not present any complication during pregnancy. Of the patients with 3 or 4 prenatal controls, 0.31% (n=1) had cases of gestational diabetes, with 5 prenatal controls only 0.31% (n=1) had high blood pressure, 14.15% (n=45) had infections during their prenatal controls, 37.42% (n=119) had other complications during pregnancy, and finally 47.48% (n=151) had no complications during pregnancy. Based on the findings presented, we can deduce that a correct prenatal control prevents complications and reduces maternal and fetal mortality |
