Samenvatting:The research entitled The family and its influence on the learning of children in the seventh grade of basic general education of the "Teniente Hugo Ortíz" school in the city of Loja, period 2021-2022, has as a general objective, to determine the influence of the family In the learning of seventh grade students, three specific objectives were proposed: first, to theoretically base through literature the influence that the family has in the educational process, and second, to identify the contribution that the family has in the school process of students and as a third, propose alternative guidelines that contribute to student learning with the participation of the family, in the theoretical framework topics such as the importance of the family and academic performance were addressed, the methodology was based on the use of the methods, analytical because it will help to tabulate and interpret the results, inductive because it will contribute to general and statistical conclusions because it will support the obtaining and analysis of the characteristics, we use a qualitative approach because it deals with a human group, with a non-experimental design since it lies in proposing an educational intervention, a type of descriptive theoretical research because it will help to collect quantifiable information , techniques were used such as direct observation, survey, instruments, such as a questionnaire to obtain information, teachers and students of the institution were surveyed, the investigated population includes five teachers and twenty-six children, the results allow us to diagnose that a significant percentage of children do not have the support of their families in their learning and a minimum percentage mentions that they have family support, to support students and parents, a didactic guide called School for parents was applied, as a conclusion it was evidenced The family is a fundamental part of education.
