Therefore teachers should know the advantages provided by the use of teaching materials. Under this pattern arises this research work whose theme is: USE OF TEACHING MATERIALS AND THEIR IMPACT ON LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF SIGNIFICANT WORK, POWER AND ENERGY IN THE FRESHMAN OF UNIFIED GENERAL EDUCATION BACHELOR UNIT ATTACHED TO COLLEGE NATIONAL LOJA, PERIOD 2012-2013. ALTERNATIVE GUIDELINES. This research had as its overall objective: To investigate how the knowledge and use of educational materials by teachers of physics affects the achievement of significant learning Block Work, Power and Energy in Freshmen High School General Unified Attach the Education Unit of the National University of Loja and the specific objectives are aimed at determining how the theoretical knowledge that teachers have about teaching materials influence the achievement of significant learning block Labor Power and Energy students General High School freshman Unified Education Unit Attached to the National University of Loja and investigate how the use of educational materials by teachers affects the achievement of significant learning block work , Power and Energy freshmen School year Unified General Appendix to the National University of Loja in order to develop an alternative solution proposed to improve the achievement of meaningful learning block work , Power and Energy, in freshmen of School Education Unit General Unified Education Unit Attached to the National University of Loja. Based on data from field research can determine which teachers Physics freshman general baccalaureate Unified Education Unit , Attached to the National University of Loja, develop block work, power and energy under limited dynamic , innovative , attractive and of real interest to the student, without using appropriate teaching materials classes. Since the theoretical knowledge that teachers have about the benefits of physical employment training materials as well as the criteria and steps in the development of materials are very limited, thus teachers have little work correctly with ease of learning materials into the classroom, causing them not to contribute to the achievement of significant learning in students. Teachers also feel that their main constraints when preparing teaching materials is the lack of time , inadequate infrastructure and equipment for processing, thus is not meeting the requirements of the teaching staff in the hotel. Teachers are not updated about the steps to promote meaningful learning and the types of learning; this hinders the smooth, generating the teacher does not have a consistent order within the classroom and consequently the student to develop meaningful learning.
