| Shrnutí: | The present research work focuses on the updating, design and implementation of learning guides oriented to the development of Optical Communications Laboratory practices in the Telecommunications career. These guides focus on the handling of optical equipment in the Antennas and Telecommunications laboratory, with purpose to allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge and acquire practical skills in the field of optical communications. The methodology for implementing the practice guidelines initially included the revision and updating of existing practices, incorporating new content. The selection of each practice was made considering the equipment available in the laboratory and the themes of the subject. The second phase consisted of developing the guides, providing detailed and clear instructions for the implementation of the internships, and ensuring a structured and effective approach to student learning. As a third phase, the guidelines were evaluated by the laboratory's Technical Teaching staff, then, it is culminating in the implementation of six laboratory practices. The developed practices have the following topics: Introduction to optical fiber, optical fiber fusion, optical attenuation, optical fiber link with WDM technology, assembly of an optical rosette for internal plant installations and introduction to the use of the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). Through the execution of these internship guides, students are expected to develop practical, technical and research skills through direct interaction with specialized equipment and tools in the field of optical communications. This methodology not only adopts an improvement in the theoretical understanding of the concepts but also promotes collaborative work and cooperation among students, preparing them to face challenges in the working world.
