Samenvatting:The present investigation refers to: THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PRACTICAL LABORATORY WORKS, AS A DIDACTIC STRATEGY, INFLUENCES THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS OF PHYSICS IN THE STUDENTS OF THE SECOND YEAR OF UNIFIED GENERAL BACCALAUREATE OF THE FISCOMISIONAL EDUCATIONAL UNIT “FRAY CRISTOBAL ZAMBRANO OF THE PROVINCE OF LOJA , SARAGURO CANTON, PERIOD 2016 – 2017., whose general objective is: To contribute to the improvement of the teaching-learning process of Physics through the implementation of practical laboratory works in the students of the second year of Unified General Baccalaureate of the Fiscomisional Educational Unit “Fray Cristóbal Zambrano” of the province of Loja, Saraguro canton, period 2016 – 2017. The main obtained results are in total divergence with the hypothetical approach proposed, it is what has been obtained from the interpretation of the data produced by the application of the survey, both to teachers and students; it was found that the lack of a laboratory and adequate equipment, the few practices that are carried out, the lack of parallelism between the theoretical classes and the practices are serious inconveniences that are presented in the institution, in the teaching - learning process of the Physics in the students of the second year of Unified General Baccalaureate, preventing students from understanding the different topics taught in the classroom both in theory and practice, as well as providing students with experimentation and personal discovery for themselves. Distancing them from the interpretation of the laws and Physical phenomena that constitute an indispensable complement in the cultural formation of the modern human being, not only in virtue of the enormous current scientific and technological development, but also because the world of Physics surrounds us at all times
