Résumé:This research work entitled "Validity of the physical book in front of the address in the students of the School of Spanish Language and Literature at the National University of Loja, academic year 2012 - 2013." The following specific objectives were formulated: to analyze the validity of the physical book in front of the mail, the students of the School; and establish the benefits and drawbacks to the practice of reading in print and digital books for students and teachers of the School of Spanish Language and Literature at the National University of Loja. The scientific method, (- deductive, analytic - synthetic inductive) was used; and reading techniques, survey statistics. As a result of research, we found that still maintains the physical book effect on students and teachers of the School of Spanish Language and Literature, because they consider vital and conducive to the practice of reading as a source of knowledge and cultural enrichment. Likewise, it was evident that teachers and students like to interact with printed books and constantly visiting bookstores and libraries, because they have the gratification of leafing, palpate before reading, reading and enrich their world of reality and the world
