The present curricular integration work reviews how since 2019 within the penitentiaries of Ecuador were developing various deaths resulting from prison massacres due to riots within these, the number of prisoners who lost their right to life, to date reach more than 2,581 people according to the media and communication, These massacres have not only had a direct impact on the security that exists within the prison system but also has affected public safety in Ecuador, because it implies that the State does not have control of prisons, due to this lack of control have generated a series of scenarios that have impacted the dignity of all families who have people within the so-called social rehabilitation centers therefore the work is entitled “Comprehensive reparation to the relatives of persons deprived of liberty who have lost their lives violently in rehabilitation centers in the country, The present work exposes the relatives of the persons deprived of liberty who in one way or another are also indirect victims of the penitentiary crisis and develops the existing forms of integral reparation to the relatives, Comprehensive reparation to relatives of prison victims refers to the compensation and reparation of damages suffered by people who have been victims of human rights violations in the prison system. comprehensive reparation also includes rehabilitation and social reintegration measures to help those affected to recover from the traumas suffered and to reintegrate into society, all this based on Ecuadorian regulations and legislation. comprehensive reparation is crucial to mitigate the effects of the affectation of a protected legal right. The State must guarantee that this right is effectively fulfilled. It is not only a matter of financial compensation, but also of fully restoring the situation prior to the loss. This implies actions that go beyond monetary compensation to those families that are psychologically affected by the family member who has lost his or her life in these social rehabilitation centers under the guardianship of the state.
