Análisis documental del abandono familiar y la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores del ecuador, periodo 2013-2021

The aging process is inevitable for human beings, its arrival changes the way of life of both the elderly and their family, the latter being in charge of caring for the person, but given the circumstances there are situations that do not allow compliance with Therefore, said responsibility is abandoned, often breaking any type of communication, which affects the quality of the older adult. Thus, due to this problem, the present documentary review work focused on the analysis and bibliographic study of family abandonment and the quality of life of the elderly is elaborated, distinguishing itself for being a documentary investigation, of an inductive type, with a qualitative approach., using the descriptive, inductive, analytical-synthetic and dialectical hermeneutic method. With the general objective of examining, through bibliographic analysis, family abandonment and the quality of life of older adults in Ecuador from 2013 to 2021, for which a sample of 15 documents was selected and established by categories. Regarding the results obtained, it was identified that the factors that influence family abandonment are family dysfunction, economic problems and health deterioration. In the same way, it was determined that the biological, humanistic and socioeconomic approaches are the most representative in the state of the art of the quality of the elderly, in this way it is concluded that economic problems are the most representative factor in the documents analyzed, due to reasons as the situation of lack that exists in the country.
