An example of which is the case of Salvador Bustamante Celi, who has a vast repertoire of academic and popular music for different formats. In the present research assignment, the systematization of all the composer's musical work was proposed, which is located so far in the city of Loja in the library of the Salvador Bustamante Celi College of Arts, Museum of Music of the Municipality of Loja and the private archive of the Church of Santo Domingo. For the extent of this project, it was proposed as a general objective to catalog the work of the composer Salvador Bustamante Celi as a contribution to the artistic cultural development of Ecuador, and therefore, we worked with an observation sheet where the data found in the musical score, to later introduce them in the cataloging sheets, under a standardized international music cataloging system. In addition, with a population of 6 people, including a direct relative of the composer and authorities belonging to institutions involved with the musical and cultural activities of the city of Loja to whom an interview guide was applied, relevant information on the musical work of the composer under study, location of the works, state of conservation, diffusion and interpretation, likewise, they agree that the master's work has not been fully rescued, bibliographic sources do not specify the entire repertoire and therefore which is necessary to prepare the catalog of the musical work as a contribution to the cultural and artistic development of the city of Loja and the country, since Salvador Bustamante Celi left a great musical legacy. It is concluded that, although Salvador Bustamante Celi's work is vast, most of it is not known, and therefore, he has not received adequate treatment from the institutions where the material rests. The cataloging under international standards will allow you to give it the value it deserves and also be a base to later recover his work. It is recommended that the institutions where the composer's musical material rests make use of the catalog contemplated within this project, so that the city of Loja and Ecuador can have access to the knowledge of the musical heritage, and the contribution and compositional work of Salvador Bustamante Celi |
