Correlación de colelitiasis con hallazgos ecográficos de hígado y vías biliares, perfil lipídico, IMC, sexo y edad en el Hospital General Isidro Ayora Loja.

Cholelithiasis is a chronic disease of the digestive system that presents serious medical, social and economic implications, its treatment (cholecystectomy) is one of the usual abdominal surgical acts in medical practice. The investigation was of quantitative type, descriptive of cross section, correlational; was to determine the correlation of ultrasound findings of liver and bile ducts, lipid profile, BMI, gender and age with the diagnosis of cholelithiasis in outpatient patients of the surgery service of the General Hospital Isidro Ayora Loja. With 65 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, data collection sheets obtained from the clinical histories were used; It was obtained that the risk factors that prevailed were the female sex with 51 patients (78.5%); ages between 21 to 40 years; overweight 35 patients (53.8%); type 1 obesity with 16 (26.2%); the ultrasound test 62 were positive and 3 negative, the sensitivity is 96%, positive predictive value 100%, hypercholesterolemia presented 21 patients and 22 had hypertriglyceridemia; binomial and Chi-Square logistic regression models were constructed for correlation: BMI (Overweight and obesity type 1) has a significance 0.500 (x ² 0.983), gender (female sex), Significance 0.483 (x ² 0.245), age (21 to 40 years) has Significance 0.736 (x ² 0.962), total cholesterol significance of 0.537 (x ² 0.108), triglycerides significance of 0.687 (x ² 0.190) Hence there is no correlation with ultrasound findings of cholelithiasis because of the sample obtained all patients present cholelithiasis not existing group witness.
