La Familia en el Desarrollo Integral del Adulto Mayor Jubilado del ‘Centro de Atención del Adulto Mayor IESS Loja’ y la Intervención del Trabajador Social”.

The thesis titled “FAMILY INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT IN ELDERLY RETIRED ‘SERVICE CENTER FOR THE ELDERLY IESS LOJA’ INTERVENTION AND SOCIAL WORKER”. It aims to explain the role of the family in the development of the elderly, it reflects participation in each of its activities to encourage self-esteem, promoting an environment of harmony and wellbeing. In the field research data quantitatively and qualitatively what has revealed the problem under study How poor family involvement affects the development of the Elderly Senior Citizen "Contacting the Elderly IESS reflected Loja "? Where the overall objective is proposed, promote family integration to achieve the comprehensive development of the Elderly; and specific objectives, Basing on the theory and contextualize from field research categories of the problem under study, determine the causes and consequences of the problem to investigate, design a proposal that contributes to family integration to enhance the development of the Elderly of "Care Center Elderly IESS Loja". The elderly, as defined by Carmen Delia Sánchez defined old age as a "set of structural and functional changes experienced by an organism as a result of the passage of time. Although gradually occurs, the results of this process and have a cumulative negative effect on the individual. " It also rescues that "this process is neither unique nor simple, because it is part of biological development and the sequence of development life cycle of human beings, which begins with conception and ends with death. For research methodology descriptive and crosscut that was fulfilled through methods that were used to explain the problem under study was defined; also techniques was used as observation, interview, and finally measurable instruments are like the survey through the construction of a questionnaire variables addressed to question the importance of the family in the activities of the elderly and improve their development. The study aims to analyze the criteria by qualitative and quantitative to analysis about the categories that are set on the data and analysis of the literature categories needed in research as: Family, Senior Citizens, Integral Development and Labour social, which are supported theoretically and strengthen the study process. Finally, the research concludes that the highest percentages are poor communication, regular affective treatment, lack of family involvement in the activities of the elderly and the lack of commitment and involvement of the family group in the integral development, results that allowed design a proposal that contributes to family integration to enhance the development of the elderly at the "Center of the Elderly Care in Loja"
