Тойм:A lifestyle is a multidimensional pattern of actions that a person carries out throughout their life and that has an impact on health. Academic stress is the one that occurs as a result of endogenous and exogenous demands in the educational context. When these factors are altered in the student community, it leads to emotional and physical imbalances, contributing to risky behaviours such as anxiety, sedentary lifestyle, insecurity, weight problems, and mental health issues, negatively affecting the optimal learning of the student. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between lifestyle and academic stress in high school students from the Santa Mariana de Jesús-Macará Educational Unit. The study had a quantitative approach, specifically a descriptivecorrelational design, using a cross-sectional prospective cohort. The instruments used were the Salazar and Arrivillaga Lifestyle Questionnaire and the SISCO Academic Stress Questionnaire, applied to a sample of 132 students. The results obtained in the study showed that 60.6% (n=80) had an unhealthy lifestyle, 38.6% (n=51) had a healthy lifestyle, and 0.76% (n=1) had an unhealthy lifestyle. In terms of academic stress, 69.7% (n=92) experienced moderate stress, 16.9% (n=21) experienced mild stress, and 14.4% (n=19) experienced severe stress. Based on the data obtained and the use of the chi-square test, it was concluded that lifestyle and academic stress do not have a significant relationship in the population studied
