סיכום:The theme is FAMILY FUNCTION AND ITS IMPACT ON SELF-ESTEEM OF EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SUPERIOR GENERAL SUBLEVEL BASIC EDUCATION, GENERAL BASIC UNIT OF MUNICIPAL DR. "ANGEL FELICÍSIMO ROJAS" THE CANTON Loja. LECTIVO 2013-2014. This research work was developed in order to understand the problems that arise in society and propose appropriate measures to rectify these difficulties partly detected in our research solutions. Therefore has set the following objective: Learn about family functionality to enhance the self-esteem of students in eighth grade, using the following methods in research such as analytic, synthetic, descriptive and deductive method. The population to be investigated consists of four teachers and ten students, just as the activities included talks esteem parents and students also proposing teachers activities to raise self-esteem in adolescents, with this we aim to raise the low self-esteem than students demonstrate in class as dysfunctional families who have teenagers at home. Conclusion: Family dysfunction negatively affects the self-esteem of adolescents due to domestic violence in their homes and has poor communication with teachers with students. Based on these results it has been proposed the following recommendations: To improve family relationships, by means of family discussions and encourage communication between parents and students educational community in order to raise the level of self-esteem. All this has made with the purpose of knowing about the issue and help resolve the issues raised.
