סיכום:Logical mathematical notions are mental representations that are the interaction that children have with their environment, we can find seriation, counting, correspondence, etc., which are essential for the development of cognitive skills and help in appropriate way the learning of mathematics. This research work tried to determine how board games improve the logical-mathematical notions in student at Adolfo Valarezo High School. The inductive and deductive methods were used to collect the necessary information to obtain solid conclusions; and also analytical and synthetic methods were used to carry out the literacy analysis, selecting the most relevant data for the research. The instrument applied in the diagnosis of the study was the Test of Mathematical Competence (Evamat-0 Test) to a sample of 25 children, it showed us that 72% of them were scoring in the low zone with respect to the investigated ability, some of them showed difficulty to recognize geometric figures, counting, relating number and quantity, solving simple problems, identifying spatial notions, among others; For this reason, in response to this problem, activities based on board games were developed and implemented, showing in the post-test after the intervention plan, 56% of the children were able to acquire a high level of mathematical ability. Demonstrating that board games as methodological strategies are useful and enriching for learning that help the process of acquiring basic mathematical skills. Key words: ludic strategy, mental abilities, geometric figures, logical thinking.
