It does not always respond to stable dispositions, but rather, many times, they are unexpected reactions to specific situations. For this reason, this investigation was carried out, whose main objective was: To determine the prevalence of crimes against life perpetrated by women that are prescribed in Articles 140, 143 and 144 of the COIP through a legal, doctrinal and comparative law analysis. , in the period 2019-2022, considering that it is being investigated whether the change in the map of violence in the country has occurred mostly during this period of time. In Ecuador, the issue of insecurity and violence has received special attention from the government, society, academic institutions, the media, and the general public in the last three years. Currently, it is estimated that crimes against life, which include murder, homicide and hired assassins perpetrated by women, is one of the main problems that most affects citizens, above other issues such as poverty, unemployment, corruption, among others. Therefore, the investigation focused on delving into the discussion to identify the causes or factors that have led to the increase in the levels of crimes against life in Ecuador perpetrated by women in the period 2019-2022, through the legal analysis of the factors that affect it and each crime in particular, being able to identify patterns of behavior, biological, social, psychological problems that vary among themselves. Aware of the seriousness that this panorama offers, and that the crimes against life typified in Articles 140, 143 and 144 of the COIP, constitute a threat, not only for Ecuador; but also a risk to citizen security and human coexistence. The investigation delves into the causes and consequences of this criminal act by women, in order to describe its prevalence, classification, punishment, as well as its multiple aggravating circumstances; repercussions and its serious results in society. Within this context, a descriptive and mixed investigation was elaborated in the methodology used, with the use of some methods such as scientific, maieutic and hermeneutic, in addition to the fact that it was necessary to develop an interview with 3 criminal judges and a survey of 30 lawyers who practice law. criminal law to fulfill 5 its objective. Through the results obtained, it was corroborated that women in Ecuador during the period 2019-2022, have perpetrated a greater number of crimes against life such as homicide, murder and hit men, which exposes the population in general, to being in a situation of vulnerability, knowing cases of women offenders involved in this type of crime since they commit punishable acts with greater penalties, highlighting conduct contrary to public order, as well as increasing crime, in response to which a public policy proposal was developed aimed at preventing these illegal acts. |
