| Sammanfattning: | The rituality regarding the recovery of health is an empirical practice that has been developed jointly with man, thanks to the ancestral practice that is directed by the Yachac, responsible for the restoration of health altered by a disease of cultural origin, through the use of herbalism, objects, animals, charms, concoctions, which are sacred from their worldview. The objective of this study was to describe the ancestral knowledge used in the recovery of the health of the families of the Saraguro parish, the route of the Qhapaq-Ñan. It was a descriptive study with a qualitative-quantitative approach, for the collection of information a survey was applied to the heads of family and the in-depth interview with the Traditional Agents in Health, a sample of 64 families was worked, obtaining the following Results: 55% of heads of household are male, are in the age range of 31 to 40 years, 67% have an economic income less than a minimum living wage, 61% of them are dedicated to the agricultural activity; The main ritual applied in the recovery of health are the clean ones, using elements such as: brandy as the base of the macerate, the shell, the stone, the spear, the sword, mullitos and plants; Among the main diseases of cultural affiliation are: cold (92%), bellyache (55%), bad air (53%).
