Shrnutí:Objective. The objective of this research is to determine the susceptibility of E. Coli to different antibiotics in urine samples from women with urinary tract infection who attend the health center No. 1 in the period January-February 2010. Material and Methods. Descriptive and interpretative study on the cross for five months (February to July 2010) were followed by urine culture at the same 103 women who attended the Health Centre No. 1 in the city of Loja. The urine test was tackled through microscopic examination by a fresh drop which looked at the number of bacteria present in urine, a chemical test which took into account the presence of positive nitrites and leukocytes from 10-20leu/ul, then performed to identify Gram stain Gram negative and Gram positive, then proceeded to farm where he was the laying of urine for the growth of colonies. Then Biochemical tests (citrate agar, TSI, Indole, Methyl Red) to identify the presence of the organism studied E. Coli, and finally the Antibiogram with this test and could determine the susceptibility of E. Coli. Results: Of the urocultivos positivos, susceptibility testing was performed to verify which of all antibiotics used were sensitive, moderately resistant and those susceptible, so we are sensitive: the Norfloxacin, Gentamicin, Ciprofloxacin, Nitrofurantoin, Ampicillin + Sulbactam; between resistance: amoxicillin + clavulanic acid and Sulfatrimetoprim, and we enter it moderately sensitive: Cefuroxime. Conclusion: We found that the germ that causes a higher incidence of urinary tract infection is the bacterium E. Coli. The most sensitive antibiotics were nitrofurantoin 100%, amikacin 81%, norfloxacin 75%, Ampicillin + Sulbactam 63%, SulfaTrimetoprim gentamicin and 59%, and finally Ciprofloxacin in 51%.
