| Summary: | This descriptive study investigated the use of creative activities in the improvement of the speaking skill with third year students at “Luis Humberto Benitez Costa” school. A twelve-session intervention plan was implemented. Researcher’s-made test and questionnaires were designed and used to measure the ten students’ progress and perception of creative activities use. Additional instruments like observation guide, field diary, and checklist were also used every session to see the students’ growth. The results indicated that the use of creative activities facilitated the meaningfully improvement of the speaking skill which was reflected in the posttest scores and students’ progress during the intervention. To conclude, this study helped the students to improve their speaking skill, the researcher to sharpen her teaching skills and the community to have a well-prepared candidate teacher. |
