| Zusammenfassung: | Arthroscopic repair of anterior shoulder instability pre and post surgery: In the Hospital de Clínicas Pichincha, from January 2011 - July 2013. Arthroscopic repair of anterior gleno humeral instability has become the treatment of choice for this condition, to restore stability, mobility and shoulder function. The objective was compare the results of patients with anterior gleno humeral instability before and after arthroscopic repair using the Rowe test. Materials and Methods: After a mean follow up of 22 months, a observational descriptive study was performed to quantify objectively the results, using the Rowe test over 100 points and categorizing the results in excellent, good, moderate or bad. The results were expressed with measures of central tendency and dispersion and comparisons with t Student test. The sample consisted of 30 patients, 90% were male with a mean age of 31 years and an average of 6 pre surgical dislocations. According to Rowe exists statistically significant improvement in terms of stability, movement and function after arthroscopic repair with an average of 84.17 over 100, which corresponds to a level of "good" functionality, but with a recurrence of the dislocation of 13.33%. Also were identified 1 biceps injury, 3 Bankart bone lesions smaller than 20%, 4 complete ruptures of the rotator cuff, 11 superior labral tear from Anterior to posterior (SLAP lesions), 15 Hill Sachs lesions smaller than 25% and 30 Bankart lesions. In Conclusions we can confirm that patients after arthroscopic surgery for anterior instability have a high functional level. Keywords: reconstruction, arthroscopic, gleno humeral, instability. |
