Summary:With the local and referential level of geological survey, it has taken the Research Station San Francisco, where technical, geological and structural investigation will be described which allow to obtain the essential starting points for the implementation of studies related to land and thus the evolution of the human being, as these two are intimately linked in nature; bringing the conservation of land resources. The completion of the work achieved was based on observation and data collection directly in the field, conjugating in the description of outcrops both geology, characterization of the rock mass and registration of structural measures of rocks, faults and joints. Similarly, the same methodology for the characterization of recent mass movements or produced during the period that lasted the present study was applied. Geomorphology and land use, is also part of direct observation in the field, but a percentage in obtaining this information was through observation and interpretation of aerial photographs of the sector. structural, geomorphological, geotechnical, location of mass movements and use of land - From a topographic base of the San Francisco Scientific Station (ECSF) and data collected in the field on the technical specifications geological map was drawn 1: 2000. The result of geological analysis - structural, helped by stereographic networks, got processing, representation and orderly zoning data from geological structures in the area. Cleat one of the main geological structures present, the type of rock and its orientation, were used to make an analysis of kinematics of different existing slopes, the same that lets us know the chances of mass movements occur (mainly falls and rock flows) or land on these surfaces. As a complement to the study of soil analysis, mass movements, slope, geomorphology, geology and geotechnics was also performed; through a Geographic Information System (S.I.G.) in order to obtain the susceptibility of the land on which I was shaped as a result on a map scale of 1: 2,000.
