总结:The general objective of this curricular integration work was: to implement the neuropsychological intervention to stimulate the cognitive functions of attention, memory, and perception in older adults with a regular, mild, and moderate cognitive status at San Vicente day center in Catamayo canton; research of quantitative approach, descriptive and cross-sectional type, with a quasi-experimental design. The brief Neuropsi test and the Mini-Mental examination were applied to a sample of 11 older adults selected through non-probabilistic sampling, forming the experimental and control groups. Findings in the levels of attention, memory, and perception suggest that most participants are located in normal levels and a smaller percentage in moderate and severe levels; regarding the cognitive status, it is evident that most older adults maintain a normal cognitive status, with small percentages in mild and moderate levels. Regarding the execution of the neuropsychological program, 100% of the experimental group carried out the activities of the basic and medium levels, placing them in the achieved level, while in the high level, they were in process since they did not complete all the activities; the verification of the effectiveness of the neuropsychological program was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U test, applied to the brief Neuropsi post-test of the experimental and control group resulting in 0.04 and 0.018 in the Mini-Mental examination, placing both results within the zone of acceptance, accepting the general hypothesis: the older adults with regular, mild and moderate cognitive status who participate in the neuropsychological intervention to stimulate the cognitive functions of attention, memory, and perception present a better performance of these functions than the older adults of the control group. It is concluded that the neuropsychological program stimulated the cognitive functions of the older adults in the experimental group, unlike the control group.
