Voeg label toe | Samenvatting: | This study analyzes Unsatisfied Basic Needs (UBN) in the Espíndola canton in 2024, focusing on the public policies required to reduce these deficiencies. Using data from the 2022 National Census, it examines the sociodemographic factors affecting poverty rates in the six rural parishes of the canton. Additionally, qualitative research is conducted through focus groups with authorities and technicians from Parish Governments, allowing the identification of each community's specific needs. The results show that access to potable water is the primary UBN, which in turn impacts other services such as sanitary sewerage, leading to additional issues. The findings of this study provide valuable information for decision-making on public policies and raise awareness among the population about the canton’s situation. |
