Descripció
Sumari:The present project shows a closed tubular coffee transporter design, as an alternative to improve the consistency and the physics conservation of coffee as it is transported. For that reason, was necessary to get information about the coffee transportation devices inside the roast coffee line-making. With this, it was possible to recognize and define the main and operational parameters for the machine, as well as the requirements for the line-making, it was necessary to make interviews. With these, the proposed design was on an electric motor, pipelines, cables, discs, and cogwheels. On the other hand, electric motor power was defined by making load experiments. The pipelines, as well as the other parts of the design where the coffee is in touch, were considered to be on PVC, and polypropylene, since they are considered safe materials in food handling. After these, the cogwheels were designed for the geometry of the pipelines, then, the other secondary elements were considered by checking catalogs taking in the stress of the different loads, materials, etc. As a result, the project ends with the design of a coffee transporter, transporting on full operation 500 Kg/h, preserving the physical quality of coffee, with a straight-line movement and a low velocity of 0.153 m/s.
