| Resumo: | This research work is about “EL SÍNDROME DE DOWN Y SU INCIDENCIA EN LA INTERACCIÓN SOCIAL DE LOS NIÑOS Y NIÑAS DE 4 A 5 AÑOS DEL INSTITUTO DE EDUCACIÓN ESPECIAL AMBATO DE LA CIUDAD DE AMBATO DURANTE EL PERIODO LECTIVO 2014 – 2015." This research has been conducted at the Institute of Special Education Ambato which is located in Cantón Ambato, Verdeloma sector and streets Verdeloma and Montes del Cajas, in order to become aware of the importance of Social Interaction in children´s lives from 4 to 5 years old with Down Syndrome and the elements acting on their affective area. The scientific problem is related to Down Syndrome and its impact on the Social Interaction of children of 4-5 years. The overall objective of this research work is related to establishing how Down Syndrome affects Social Interaction and in the educative process of children of 4-5 years from the Institute of Special Education Ambato for which was taken a sample of 30 people between teachers, parents and children. The methods applied, allowed me to guide the entire research process including: scientific, deductive, inductive, descriptive and statistical. The techniques used for this purpose were observation and survey which could get the required information reached the following conclusions: A successful Social Interaction of children with Down Syndrome is mainly based on the motivation and stimulation they receive at home together with guidance provided by the staff of the Institute, which does not take fully because the teachers are not prepared to 100% decided in the implementation of strategic plans of teaching –learning process that promotes Social Interaction of children with their immediate social environment and parents do not have full knowledge about what Down Syndrome is and this causes can not be an active part of the process of adaptation and socialization of their children. From the application poll the 67% of the teaching staff is not ready in the use of strategic plansof teaching-learning that favours the Social Interaction of the children with immediate social environment compared to 33% who say if I be In relation to the applied poll's results to the familty parents 100% see an improvement in the social area to their daughters and sons since they attend to the Institute, concidering that a 100% of them, that the children's behavior is due to they are treated by the pearsons around them too. From the observation techniques did to the children it was had as a result that a 75% from them keep a right interaction with the persons of their environment, with all of this only a 25% that do not do things right. |
