This research is a methodology to perform audits to electrical systems, from a series of concepts, theoretical foundations, standards and safety rules and calculation methods required in the audit and to determine the potential savings. The study was the development in the industrial sector, specifically in the cardboard factory "MACARSA" in the city of Machala, where the uprising line diagram of the plant, an inventory of all electrical receivers as well as the measurements was conducted key figures in the electrical distribution system of the company. The study was conducted in three specific parameters: Redesign line diagram of the plant; history analysis of electricity consumption for the last twelve months; study load factor transformer substations. To determine the actual consumption of the factory a network analyzer (A2000) I was used, the same one that allowed us to present a plan for energy saving measures. |

To determine the actual consumption of the factory a network analyzer (A2000) I was used, the same one that allowed us to present a plan for energy saving measures.El sector industrial de nuestro país es el principal generador de fuentes de empleos directos e indirectos, así mismo es el sector de mayor consumo de energía eléctrica por lo que es de vital importancia realizar auditorias electro-energéticas y determinar los posibles potenciales de ahorro. La presente investigación parte de una metodología necesaria para realizar auditorias a los sistemas eléctricos, partiendo de una serie de conceptos, fundamentos teóricos, normas y reglas de seguridad así como métodos de cálculo necesarios en la auditoría y para determinar el potencial de ahorro. El estudio se lo desarrollo en el sector industrial, específicamente en la fábrica de cartón "MACARSA" en la ciudad de Machala, donde se realizo el levantamiento del diagrama unifilar de la planta, un inventario de todos los receptores eléctricos así como las mediciones de las principales magnitudes del sistema de distribución eléctrica de la empresa. El estudio fue dirigido en tres parámetros específicos: Rediseño del diagrama unifilar de la planta; análisis del historial de consumo eléctrico para los últimos doce meses; estudio del coeficiente de carga de los transformadores de las subestaciones.
