| Resumo: | The present curricular integration work had the objective of analyze the attention and academic performance in children from 4 to 5 years old through playful and pedagogical strategies that enhance their integral development of the Initial II from the Center "His majesty the child"; it was a qualitative study, descriptive type, non-experimental design, was used the scientific, inductive, deductive method, with a non-probabilistic sample, an observation technique was used and an observation sheet as a tool consisting of 5 items, as well as an interview technique and as an instrument the interview guide consisting of 5 questions. The results found in the applied instruments showed that there are children with attention problems, that affect the academic performance; after these results, a guide of 5 innovative activities was implemented, some of them involved parents, with the objective of improve the attention and academic performance of children aged 4 to 5 years. It is concluded that the attention has a direct influence in children's academic performance, given that facilitates the ability to follow instructions, actively participate in class and take advantage of daily learning opportunities. Lack of attention can lead to difficulty keeping up with class and an increased risk of academic failure. That’s why, as teachers, we must seek the best strategies and recreational activities to work with children, that are attractive and mange to capture their attention, adapting if it's necessary to children with learning problems.
